On 11th November 2011 (11/11/11) three friends will set out on a motorcycle journey from the Oddfellows Arms inToddington, Bedfordshire to Timbuktu ( Tombouctou ) in Mali, Africa.
The trip will cross seven countries and take the team from temperatures near in 0 degrees C in the mountains of France and Spain to the Sahara desert where daytime temperatures could reach 35 degrees C, even in November.
Why? To raise money for charity (the new Neonatal Special Care Unit at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital), to challenge ourselves and because it is there ...
